All techniques can be infused with Reiki

Written by Kim
Reiki is energy and energy is movement..never still...even in the quietest of moments.

We as humans have the ability to direct our energy.  That's really what Reiki is; a directed, moving, vibrating power.  Because our mind conceptualizes we tend to turn movement into a "idea".Take for example the process of looking at a tuning fork that is vibrating. When we look at the tuning fork it's obviously vibrating but the mind it "sees"/"hears" the sound that it makes as a solid "thing"...the sound, of course, isn't solid, it's moving.   Sound is weird that way.  We hear a song (which we all agree is a combination of vibrations) and we hear it as a conceptual solid item. Experiences of all kinds are immediately grokked and automatically become historical events and as such appear to be solid within the mind.  This happens in a micro second.*

How about us? Our being?  It looks solid but it's not.  The fact that we're not solid is the reason that energy such as Reiki can enter into our lives.  How can vibrational medicine that we call Reiki infuse our lives?  Pour it in- like the sunlight which fills a mountain pool as the rays peek over the hillside in the first morning hours.

Some of the wonderful things we can do with Reiki is to hold a glass of water, a stone, a pillow and ask the energy to flow into the item you are holding.  Whether you are a cook with food, a massage practitioner with your client, a mom or dad with your child, a teacher with your student, an artist with your paints, a musician with your instrument, a potter with your clay, a homeopath with your remedy, an acupuncturist with your needles, a singer with your voice, a gardener with your plants.  Keep on imagining and that's what you can put Reiki into.

*This is also why we can never really be in the present moment..because by the time we become aware of something and have categorized it according to our memory banks it's now in the past.  (Oh well...I digress!..)
Sound is movement , we know this intellectually ..we have to be really quiet to realize it.
