Is Reiki A Qi Gong?

Written by Kim
I've heard it said that Reiki is a Qi Gong practice..of course someone had to make up all the words and terms which we now believe because "someone before us said them."  well that's the way it is here on  earth (for now) so why buck the current unless you feel like being adventurous but back to the subject...
Qi Gong means "Energy Practice" so in that sense Reiki (remember that Reiki is a Japanese word which is loosely defined as "Universal Energy") is definitely a Qi Gong and if you keep your practice alive and use Reiki daily your Reiki practice will grow-and grow.

How do you practice?  A simple method to integrating reiki into your life is to start first thing in the morning and apply it last thing at night...just let the energy flow into your hands and feel it fill your body.  This is a wonderful thing to do just as you are falling off to sleep and because it's the very last thing that you do in your physical waking state it will be very easy to access it the very first thing in the morning.

Next do it before each meal..you can even do it in public if you let Reiki flow your eyes.  Just incorporate your intention and before you take your first bite say "Reiki infuse this beautiful food and Thank You".. and Reiki will move into the food.

Another time to practice Reiki during the day is your bathroom hours..if it's  during a shower just allow the water to come down on you..Hold your hands in the water and allow the Reiki to permeate the water and bless your body as you stand there.. You can send Reiki all the way back to the source of the water this way.  You can use it along side of appreciation and take your Reiki prayer all the way up to rain and to the clouds.
