Viajero... directed by Mark Oliver, with original soundtrack by Kim has won third place at Premio Chatwin Italian Film Festival!

Hosted in beautiful Genoa, Italy, the Festival is dedicated to Film, Fiction and Photography which feature a special emphasis on travel and cultural exchange.  A panel composed of anthropologists, writers, journalists and headed by film director Mario Monicelli gave top honors to the film's austere imagery and ambient soundscapes.

2009 added a new aspect to my work; that of holding energy and being a minister at wedding ceremonies.  There is always so much joy at these occasions.

It's amazing to hold energy for two people who are committing to moving forward on future paths together.  An added perk for me is that weddings are often opportunities for me to do small crystal bowl concerts.

Last year I had the opportunity to do several crystal bowl concerts. Bowls are wonderful openings for rituals and celebrations.  In 2009 I played bowls to open three weddings, the Mt. Shasta premiere of the film Viajero/ cd release for "East Edge of the Milky Way", and Ariah Firefly's cd release party for her newest recording "One Blissful Dream".    2010 has several concerts in the works..dates are being finalized now.

Crystal bowls are powerful tools; both mesmerizing and transportive.  Live bowl shows aren't done that often so weddings and event openings are perfect opportunities to use these beautiful instruments to center audiences and attune them to the moment.  Many of you may know that bowls, like some sets of tuning forks, are often tuned to chakra frequencies and when used correctly these frequency tools can really send the listener into an altered state of deep relaxation.
