About Kim

Kim Merlino has been involved in teaching and holistic healing for the past 25 years. After being in private practice in Santa Cruz, California, since 1990, he moved to Mt. Shasta, California in 2001.

Kim feels one of the most profound influences in his current teaching and healing work was his four year residency at the Himalayan Institute of Yoga science and Philosophy where he studied yoga, meditation, diet and nutrition.
Kim's formal medical training in Oriental Medicine was at Five Branches Institute in Santa Cruz, California.

After graduating with M.Ac. L.Ac. certification in 1990, Kim entered private practice as an acupuncturist and herbalist. Since the inception of his practice, Kim has continued to add a variety of complementary modalities to his hand's on energetic medical practice.

As a Reiki Master level teacher Kim's private sessions, as well as his classes include the energetic medical methods of Reiki Infused Hands on Therapy, and Table Shiatsu. During the Reiki classes and often in the treatment sessions Kim uses tuning forks, bowls, and essential oils to deepen and amplify the healing experience.
Kim empowers his student's and client's with the awareness that we each have all the necessary tools within us to come into our own innate wholeness. A primary focus within Kim's work is based upon the Chinese medical principal of "Fu Zheng" which means to "Tonify the Righteous".

One of the techniques Kim employs is "Clarification of the View or Perspective". When incorporating a simple shift of focus a client can instantly transform that which was previously perceived as an unfortunate problem into a gift. Moving beyond the paradigm of the "magic bullet", Kim's desire is to help each student or client to create and maintain higher vibrational states of balance.
